Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam at Padmavati temple

TIRUPATI, 14 SEPTEMBER 2021: Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam performed was at Padmavati temple.

The traditional Temple cleansing fete, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was performed in Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanoor on Tuesday in connection with annual Pavitrotsavams which are scheduled to commence from September 18 onwards.

As part of this sacred event, the entire temple premises, puja utensils were cleansed with an aromatic mixture of Parimalam.

A herbal mixture Parimalam made of refined camphor, sandalwood powder, vermilion, turmeric, a tuber Kichiligadda that acts as a disinfectant was applied to all the walls, smeared on roofs and pillars inside the sanctum sanctorum as well as at other sub-temples inside the temple.

The sacred cleaning fete was performed between 7:30 am and 9:30 am in the temple with an aromatic mixture called Parimalam.
