Face Recognition System for Room Registration at Tirumala

TTD recently (March 1st) launched a Face Recognition System during Room Registration (Offline Rooms) in Tirumala. This process was setup in order to prevent fraudulent activities by Dalaris.

At the time of Room registration in Tirumala,  pilgrim photo will be taken. It will be matched again at the time of room allotment and also at the time of the caution deposit refund.

This will ensure that only genuine pilgrims are allotted rooms, and any attempt to sell rooms illegally can be detected and prevented.

The Room Registration counters, which are currently located at various places in Tirumala, will soon be shifted to the CRO (Centralized Reservation Office) to streamline the process and make it more efficient.

Also, once the room is allotted to a devotee, he will get the next room only after a span of a month.
