TIRUMALA, 13 MARCH 2023:
Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be held on March 21 in connection with Ugadi Asthanam on March 22 at Tirumala Srivari Temple. It will be conducted on Tuesday before Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam, Brahmotsavam and Vaikuntha Ekadashi festivals annually.
The event will be held from 6 am to 11 am, which will be performed by priests. Starting from the Ananda Nilayam in the temple to the Bangaru Vakili, all the sub-temples, temple premises, Walls, Temple Roof, Pooja Samgri, and Utensils etc. inside the Srivari temple are cleaned with water. During this time Swami’s moola virattu is completely covered with cloth.
After the purification is complete, holy perfumed water mixed with Namakopu, Sri Churnam, Kasturi Turmeric, Pachaku, Gadda camphor, Sandalwood powder, Kumkum, Kichiligadda etc. is applied throughout the temple. After that, the cloth covering the Swami’s Moolavirattu is removed and special puja and offerings are performed by the priests.
Devotees are allowed to have darshan from 12 noon onwards.
